General matters
Design Psychology (“we”, “ours”, “us”) protects your personal information. Please read through the Personal Data Policy thoroughly to understand how we handle your personal data.
Information that we receive from you or our clients
We typically handle the following information about you:
Name
Occupation
Highest completed education
Birth year
Contact information (email address and phone number)
Information that we collect directly from you
We collect the following information about you when you participate in user tests or similar studies:

Your (anonymous) answers and potential comments provided in a given user study in the following formats:

Purpose
The purpose of collecting and processing your data is to pursue our or our clients’ interest in analyzing and developing their products or services. Additionally, we also conduct statistical, scientific and historical analyses to scope, develop and improve a product or a service.
When we contact you for the first time, to obtain your consent for participating, you will receive further information about the purpose of the specific user study.
Profiling
Your answers to the study are included, along with all the other respondents’ answers to the same study, in an anonymous data analysis. The analysis will later be presented to our clients in the form of a presentation or a report. Your data is anonymous when presented to our client or third-party.
Storage time
The collected information will be stored as long as our analysis work is taking place (typically up to 3 months). We delete your information as soon as the final report is delivered to the client, (typically within 3 months).
In case we have reason to store your information as part of the protection of our legal interests, such as legal requirements or disputes, we reserve the right to store your information for a longer period and as a minimum until the case is closed.
Sharing of your information
We share your anonymous information with the client that we conduct the study on behalf of.
When it is necessary for conducting the study and the analysis, we also share your information with the following:
- Security-cleared data processors, who help Design Psychology with IT or other services.
Third-parties are not entitled to use your information for their own purposes such as marketing or sale of your information.
Apart from the instances mentioned, we only share your information with others if we are obliged to due so in legislation or to protect our interests in a legal dispute.
Security
All your information is stored on servers in-house at Design Psychology or on encrypted hard drives whilst the analysis phase is taking place (see more information in the section: Storage time).
We uphold the necessary organisational, technical and physical precautions to protect your information against accidental or illegal destruction, loss, change, unauthorized sharing or access in accordance with the data protection rules in Denmark and EU.
Your rights
We treat all your personal information on the basis of your consent.
You are welcome to contact us to gain insight into the personal data that we store about you. You can also choose to withdraw your consent for data storage at any time. You may write to us at Rikke@designpsykologi.dk and inform us which user study you participated in, along with your name.
Please direct all inquiries to us as data controllers first, in case you are dissatisfied with our handling of your personal data.
You have the right to file a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency if you are unsatisfied with the way that we handle your personal data. You can find contact information for the Danish Data Protection Agency at www.datatilsynet.dk
